Illustration for The Washington Post Magazine’s column, “Art With A Point”. I was tasked with creating a spring-inspired illustration, and to share an accompanying quote. Published in-print and online.
Spring is full of life, color and congregation. It gives me a burst of energy when I see everyone returning outdoors. There's a revitalization that I feel when stepping out of the cold, dark winter and into the springtime - a breath of fresh air that gives me momentum to carry onwards to a better place.

Illustration for The Washington Post Magazine’s column, “Art With A Point”. I was tasked with creating a Mother’s Day illustration, and to share an accompanying quote. Published in-print and online.
“When you’re small, your mother feels like your whole world, helping you clear a way through the unknowns of life. I’m lucky that I had a mother who could create a space for me to be safe and supported.”

This is an illustration for the New York Times Sports section. The story details how no drug testing was done during the lockout, so people could theoretically take advantage of that and indulge in doping to get ready for the season. The concept revolves around how a syringe is not too indifferent in shape than that of a baseball bat, so I created this candid shot of baseball bats lined up against a wall with a large syringe conspicuously among them. In order to capture the abandoned nature of the lockout, we played into that empty 'off season' locker room feeling by showing more bats and discarded items left over by players.
